If your Antivirus software validity is running out, we will be able to install its new version or help you to migrate to a different software. In terms of internet security and privacy protection, we recommend the Symantec products, and particularly Norton Internet Security 2011. This package is always voted top rank everytime it comes to compare such products. Of course you may prefer other solutions such as Bit defender, Kaspersky, or Mc Afee security softwares. You may also be interested in free antivirus programs such as Avast, or AVG. Be aware that some programs cannot be used side by side, and clash with each other, or are prevented from working properly in the detection of threats. Part of our IT services is to advise and help you choose the security level that suits you.

Building Computers 

Being experts at repairing computers, we are naturally able to build them to your specifications and budget. Are you a musician?, video editor or accountant?, your requirements will be very different. In all cases, we will be able to provide you with the best choice for each component. Data Transfer , Backup, and Hard Drive erasing 

You may want to tranfer some data from one computer to another, it is possible to read directly from the disk and copy files and folders to the other PC. This can be done at your place.It may take some time, depending on the size of your Hard Drive and the amount of data you want to transfer .
If you want to setup a backup, full now, or scheduled and incremental, being able to propose you some hardware and online solutions is a part of our IT services.
If you want to dispose of your old computer, or sell it and be sure that all your details and data will never be extracted, then your hard drive has to be properly erased. Not simply reformated. We are able to provide such service, giving you a total peace of mind.

Remote assistance 

Some problems may be solved remotely, through the phone, or by accessing your desktop from our premises. If the internet connection is still working, we will be able to help exactly like if the engineer was sitting front of your computer.This solution is even cheaper, since there is no travel expense. And no cup of coffee to prepare...!

Setup new PC 

If you plan to buy a new Desktop or Laptop PC but you don't want the hassle of configuring the new computer, plugging the cables, install keyboard, mouse, screen and then, re-establish the internet connection, the wireless internet access if it is a laptop, configuring security software, licence numbers, download the Windows 7 drivers for your old printer, scanner or webcam... Not mentioning your documents, pictures and music to move to your new computer... Well... We will be happy to help you with this.

System Troubleshooting and Repairs 

Sometimes, things disappear, the layout change, programs stop working or some mysterious messages come to the desktop everytime you start the computer. This happens consequently to a mistake or the installation/uninstallation of a program, an aborted update... We are able to troubleshoot these annoyances, spot the origin of the problem, and take action to correct it.
If your computer becomes slow, It may be due to a new program just installed, or too many programs running in the background...or hidden tasks. We are able to identify processes and services that are slowing down your machine, and correct the problem.
You may also get a blue screen, or a black screen with system messages. Both are indicating something wrong, a file missing or a corruption in your system. We are use to decrypt such messages and take action to correct the problem.

If you need to know the basics of computing, such as sending e-mails with attachments, create new folders, managing your photos, music, and pictures. If you want to explore efficiently your new Windows 7 System or if you want to know the basic usage of the Office package, we will be happy to help in a one to one session, guiding you and answering your questions, and assisting you while you are doing it, at your speed, with no pressure. If you need more advanced tuition, we will be happy to recommend you some college or online courses. 

Upgrades 

Depending on your needs, you may choose to get extra storage space, more memory or a powerful processor. Depending on the age of your computer and the hardware availabilities, it will be always possible to improve such or such part of your computer. However it's good to keep in mind that the computer will always work at the speed of it's weakest link. We recommend to check first if the upgrade can really bring an improvement. We will be happy to help and advise you in this matter. 

Virus removal  

Virus removal is one of the most common problems we are dealing with. Whatever the name they are given, virus, trojan horse, adware, spyware, worm, malware... Their only purpose is annoyance at the least, identity and money theft if possible. Most of the time they now look like a security program popping up from nowhere on your desktop, warning you that your computer is infected with a certain amount of viruses, and asking you to buy the full version of the program to get rid of them. It looks legitimate but it is not. Even if you buy the "program", it will not remove anything, and will not delete itself either. these programs, that are actually Trojan Horses, can go through numerous of security softwares and firewalls before attacking your computer. If no action is taken, they evolve to the point where they prevent all connection to the internet, access to your programs and even your documents. We are quite used to fight these problems and in most cases we are able to clean the computer in about an hour with no data loss. 

Wireless Broadband 

At home, at work or on the move, wireless access to the internet is a must have. It's now a lot easier to configure your wireless connection yourself, which most of the time has been reduced to just having to type a password written at the back of the router: The famous "network key". Ok, but sometimes things just go wrong and whatever you try, nothing works. If it happens, please call us, we will be able to identify where the problem lies , and correct it.
